Guidance Department

High School is a time when students are given more work to juggle, and the focus on college and a career after high school grows stronger. Extracurricular activities mix with even more rigorous academic expectations to make high school a time when all your chil's hard work starts to pay off. At the same time, the pressure can be powerful, and your child will need your help prioritizing responsibilities and following through on expectations.

Please refer to the DOE's new Achieve NYC guide to assist you with supporting your child's academic endeavors. A physical copy of this guide is also available from your child's Guidance Counselor.

Welcome

On behalf of our school community, I would like to welcome you to our school website. Abraham Lincoln High School is a school of "Many Nations....One Pulse!" We take great pride in celebrating the diversity amongst our students and staff. Our school is a community where all members help one another pursue their potential.

For nearly a century Abraham Lincoln High School has been a leader in New York City education. We maintain high expectations and a strong support system for all of our students. Our teachers, staff members, and administrators work to ensure that each school year is successful and that students make progress towards graduation while preparing for post-secondary pathways. All courses are college preparatory because we believe that it is our responsibility to provide all students with the opportunity to go to college.

We encourage students and parents to take advantage of everything our school has to offer. There are many opportunities and resources available to support not only the students but the parents so that they can inspire their children to be academically inclined and good citizens in their communities.

Be informed. Be involved. Be engaged.

From your Parent Coordinator & Webmistress,

Mrs. Tiffany Lewis
